Doctor Morgan Black has returned to the village of his youth, Monksford, after the death of his aunt, the famous historian Eliza Black. He quickly discovers the project she was working on when she died and sets about continuing her research into the history of the local area. Morgan uncovers a dark history of kidnap, murder and ritual sacrifice that may not be confined to the past.

This Lovecraftian tale takes us on a journey through a typical British village, with dark secrets buried just below the surface that, if left unchecked, may unleash a chaos on the world unlike any known before.
